Sunset Sessions Part 2 – Read about our fabulous acts!
Here at Taymouth Marina, we are delighted to announce the lineup for our Sunset Sessions for August and September! From tonight, August 5th, guests can enjoy live music on the outside terrace of the Ferryman’s Inn. See below to find out more about our fabulous acts!
Friday 5th August – 7pm: Elemental
Gordon and Lynn have been writing music together since 2010. They will be performing their original, blues-inspired tunes to the crowd at the Ferryman’s Inn. The pair have become so well known on the Central Belt’s music circuit, not just for their talent, but for their involvement with charities through their music. From taking part in the Livingroom Lockdown Sessions, donations from which went to support young people during the lockdown, to riding with the Distinguished Gentleman’s Club, raising funds and awareness for men dealing with prostate cancer – this pair could not be doing more!
Their fresh, acoustic sound has wowed crowds at the likes of Wickerman Festival and CitizenFest. Their varied style means they have something to suit every mood. There are songs to dance around the room to and songs to sway quietly to. We can think of nothing better than a few drinks from our new cocktail menu (check it out) on the terrace accompanied by their fabulous music.
Friday 19th August – 7pm: Katee Kross & Ross Barron
This duo has spent many an evening entertaining the crowds at Taymouth Marina, and we are delighted to be welcoming them back. With a sound firmly based on Country/Americana, they never fail to spellbind a crowd. Thanks to a recent whirlwind trip to Nashville, it is safe to say their sound has progressed even further. Playing legendary spots in the city like The Listening Room and Cafe Coco, we can’t wait to hear some of their new stories and inspiration.
With numerous albums to her name and a voice that can capture an audience, Katee will be performing some of her best material with us at Taymouth alongside her guitarist Ross. An amazing gig for anyone with a love of country music, you won’t want to miss it!
Sunday 11th September – 6pm: John Rush
John Rush is one of those amazing Scottish performers who has worked with some of the best in the business. As a special guest for the likes of Rick Astley, Paul Weller and Ocean Colour Scene, his melodic, acoustic sound has gained him a loyal following around the world.
John has played everywhere from Glasgow’s very own King Tut’s Wah Wah Hut to New York City’s Rockwood Music Hall. Performances at Belladrum Festival and Doune the Rabbit Hole have made for an incredible summer. We can only hope that the amazing crowd at Taymouth Marina will give him as warm a welcome!
Saturday 24th September – 7pm: Katee Kross & Ross Barron
Sadly, all good things must come to an end, and the Sunset Sessions 2022 will be completed by the return of Katee and Ross for another year. What a way to end!
We hope your diary is now full of dates to come down to Taymouth Marina. We’ll be ready and waiting to pour drinks, sing along…and have a cheeky dance in the garden.
