Scale a Munro
Perthshire offers amazing opportunities for hillwalkers and Munro-baggers – especially the seven that overlook the banks of Loch Tay. Specialist mountain guides Steven Fallon Mountain Adventures even claims they can all be climbed in one day if you are particularly fit and healthy.
Taymouth Marina offers an excellent base for hillwalking with the family – it makes the walks a lot easier when you know you’re coming home to BBQ under the stars, a fire pit to cosy up around and your own personal hot tub.
The Enchanted Forest
The world-renowned Enchanted Forest is a magical experience. Stare in wonder at fantastical light and sound displays set throughout Faskally Wood in Highland Perthshire.
This is a perfect chance to get in the autumnal mood as you take an unforgettable walk through the woods. The theme for this year is ‘Cosmos’, inspired by the natural beauty of the starry Scottish skies.
Dive into watersports
Just because summer is over doesn’t mean you can’t enjoy the watersports on offer at Taymouth Marina – our watersports run right up until the end of October.
Our giant stand-up paddleboards are the perfect family teamwork activity, and you can warm up with a delicious hot chocolate at our café afterwards.
Another fun family activity would be to take a picnic, hire some sit-on kayaks and paddle out to Sybilla’s Island in the middle of Loch Tay to enjoy lunch with an amazing view.
